Terms of Service

These terms are a contract between you ("you") and By Forrest Ltd, registered in England and Wales at 44, 7 Huntley Street, London, WC1E 6AJ, United Kingdom ("we", "us", "our"). By using shopifytometa.com(the "Service") you accept these terms.

We give you a tool that converts your Shopify customer export into a Meta value-based custom audience CSV. Conversion happens in your browser — we never see your customer data. You agree not to abuse the service. The tool is provided as-is.

We provide a tool that converts a Shopify customer export CSV into a Meta value-based custom audience CSV. The tool is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do our best to keep it accurate as Shopify and Meta evolve their formats, but we don't guarantee any particular outcome from uploading the resulting file to Meta — match rates depend on the quality of your customer data.

• You may upload customer data you legally have the right to use for marketing purposes (consent, legitimate interest, or another lawful basis under applicable data protection law).
• You may not upload data scraped from third parties or obtained without a lawful basis.
• You may not attempt to bypass the rate limit by automation, proxy rotation, multiple accounts, or similar.
• You may not redistribute or resell access to the converter.
• You are responsible for your own compliance with UK GDPR / EU GDPR and Meta's Custom Audiences Terms when uploading the converted file to Meta.

The Unlimited Monthly plan is intended for legitimate marketing use by a single business or marketing agency converting their own customer exports — including agencies refreshing audiences across multiple client Shopify stores under a single login.

To prevent automated abuse, Unlimited Monthly is subject to a fair-use ceiling of 250 conversions per UTC day per account. This is set far above any realistic agency workflow (a 50-store agency refreshing weekly averages roughly 12 per day) and exists purely to stop scripted misuse. We reserve the right to contact accounts with anomalous usage patterns to discuss an appropriate plan, and in extreme cases to suspend access for breach of these terms.

If you have a legitimate use case that genuinely needs a higher ceiling, email hello@shopifytometa.com and we'll work something out.

• Single conversions are USD $5. Pro subscriptions are USD $19.99 per month, charged in advance and recurring until cancelled.
• Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
• You can cancel a subscription at any time from the Stripe customer portal (linked from your account page). Access continues until the end of the current billing period and you won't be charged again.
• By Forrest Ltd is not currently registered for UK VAT, so no VAT is charged on the prices shown. If we become VAT-registered in the future, prices may be updated and applicable tax will be added at checkout via Stripe.

All sales are final. Because the converter delivers an immediate digital download — the converted CSV is generated and sent to your browser the moment you upload — we do not offer refunds for single conversions or for past subscription periods.

By purchasing, you expressly request that we begin performing the service immediately and you acknowledge that you lose your statutory right to cancel under Regulation 37 of the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (and the equivalent waiver under Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU) once download begins.

The only exception: if a conversion fails due to a clear bug or outage on our end and you weren't able to download a usable file, email hello@shopifytometa.com within 7 days and we'll either fix it or refund the affected charge at our discretion.

Chargebacks are not a substitute for contacting us first — please email support so we can resolve the issue directly.

Pro subscriptions require an account. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in email secure. We use passwordless magic-link authentication — anyone with access to your email inbox can sign in as you. Sessions last 30 days; you can sign out at any time from your account page.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms. If we do, we'll cancel any active subscription and not charge you again, but we won't refund the current period.

See our Privacy Policy for what data we collect and why. The short version: your customer CSVs are processed in your browser and never reach our servers.

The website, its design, code, and the converter logic are owned by By Forrest Ltd. You retain all rights to the customer data you upload — we make no claim to it (and never see it in any case).

The Service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — for example, lost revenue from a Meta ad campaign that didn't perform, or losses caused by inaccurate data in your Shopify export. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is capped at the total amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under English law.

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the homepage at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after that point constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that consumers may bring proceedings in their country of residence where local law requires.

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full effect. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
